I lied
Okay, so maybe I’m not staying away like I had planned, but there are a few new additions to the site I’d like to point out.
You now have the ability to comment live on every individual post in my blog. So in addition to the Tagboard entries that everyone loves and has been making, feel free to drop a note for the world to see in the comments section at the bottom of every entry. You’ll be a better person for it.
I’ve decided to maintain jk.com v5 after receiving a huge influx of hate mail when I initially stated I was going to cease the updates until version 6 was complete. Public opinion can be a strong motivator, as any politician can tell you. Besides, I like writing a note here and there and I’m always looking for some interesting stock photos that may be applicable to my post.
There are lot of changes on the way for version 6. I plan on splitting my template system to facilitate a separate blog template. I want to run my archives links down one of the side navs which will free up more space in the content area for strange pics and stuff. But I don’t want the blog info on all my pages so I’m going to redesign the interior of jaymekohler.com. I’m not sure where it’s going to go, but rest assured it’ll be the hippest thing since lawn darts. I’m also going to revamp the About page to include site information and a better bio (I’m already thinking third person). There will also be a Frequently Asked Questions portion for your convenience. Yeah, I know I’ve been promising this for quite some time, but it hasn’t been too high on my priority list. The whole color scheme is changing as well. I’m moving away from my Blue tendency to oranges and/or greens. They’re the new red and black, you know. Site layout won’t be changing all that much. My creative talents only extend so far.
Its about time I start giving a lot of credit where credit is due, so I’ve decided to jump on the bandwagon and get a blog roll going. There are a lot of people out there in internetland who’ve helped me get this far, and they don’t even know it. I creep and lurk in the shadows and dig through their code line by line.
It’s all on the way.
In case anyone was wondering, Rick is the guy largely responsible for why I’m writing today. He was that second gunman on the grassy knoll back in the sixth grade when I wrote my first story. Thanks man.
