Consistently inconsistent

Once your consciousness is raised it can never be lowered.

A bit of wisdom from Aunt Shirley. Thanks.

You would think that after having men on the moon for over thirty years, human ingenuity could keep a stinking reliable internet connection in my room. What kind of primitive, miserable life am I really leading out here? As if that wasn’t bad enough, the maid was gone for the first three weeks of October and I almost had to wash a load of my own laundry! Luckily the cook was in the laundry room at the time and I made her do it. I’m not sure if I can continue to live with these kind of conditions. I’m drafting a letter to my congressman and the Commandant of the Marine Corps. This madness must end!

As a precautionary measure to prevent further inconsistencies in my updating in the future, I’ve recruited the help of Blogger.com. I know I’ve been hell bent on Blog 7.1 this whole time, but my current blog utility is a locally installed program which I can only upload from my laptop. Sooooo, when my internet is down or I’m on the road without my laptop, I’m kinda screwed. I’ll now be able to post my infinite wisdom from anywhere on the web! Lucky you.

I think I’m going to bring back the Completely Random Picture section on my main page. It was chocked full of witty remarks and pictures from yesteryear. People seemed to enjoy it. What do you think?

My Blogger page is only there as a supplement to jaymekohler.com and not as a replacement by any means. It’s the page you’ll look for when you haven’t seen updates on my main page for ages, just in case crap like this goes down again. It’s a basic design without a lot of bells and whistles, but I’m sure things will get creative before long. It’s my nature.

In that, I bring you journal (II) by KOHLER. It’s the healthy alternative.

November is going to be a very busy month. I give you fair warning. This weekend is the Marine Corps Birthday Ball, next weekend I fly to Rio for TDY support of the Marine Det there, the weekend following I have another Scout camp out, then we roll into Thanksgiving and finals for this semester. I’m not making any promises on updates or fresh material. You can bet that I’ll be posting post-Marine Ball info and pics, but beyond that jaymekohler.com may slow to a crawl until December. What I can promise is that by the middle of December I’ll be damn near care-free, and that’s when the real good stuff will start showing up all over this site. I’ll do my best to let the updates leak out little by little rather than keep you waiting for ages again. Send me an email on occasion to let me know you’re still out there. It doesn’t have to be long. Just a simple what’s up or equivalent greeting of you gender/ethnicity/country. Your emails are still on the way. Honest.
