Apologies
I’d like to apologize for not posting anything of note lately, but as you can see we’ve been up to our ears with moving the current Marine house between two locations.
Due to various contractors dragging their feet, remodeling of the new Marine house didn’t begin until about ten days ago. They now have 60 days to upgrade the house itself with security measures, plumbing, wiring, and such and an additional 10 days to complete the compound which will feature full sized volleyball and basketball courts. They are getting fined the equivalent of $1700 USD for every day they go over the time line. I’m not holding my breath.
Until then, we’re moving into a temporary residence that’s pretty damn nice in itself if you ask me. All the Marines agree. This leaves us with the task of separating the pack out and move into two different areas: stuff going into permanent storage until the move into the permanent Marine house, and stuff going the temporary residence, in addition to all our personal crap that we are just going to throw together and hand carry to the temp residence.
This is all going to be done by the week’s end and Coleman and I have our first camp out since October crammed in there as well. I don’t really know which end is up anymore.
The good news is that v9.2 has finally arrived under stealth of night with a lighter, more structured feel to it. Behind the scenes I’ve been working on an all new photo log with only my favorite photos, a Development journal that details and tracks the evolution of jaymekohler.com, a completely new Albums layout, and even more material in the About section. I also intend in moving Guestbook over to Movable Type because, as it stands, it just kinda hangs out there like a sore thumb without much style consistency. Version 9, in one form or another, is going to be around for awhile as I concentrate on content and uniformity.
Throw me a bone form time to time letting me know what you think of things around here. Leave comments at the ends of posts. Drop me a tag-board note. Let me know you’ve been here.
Thanks.
