Letter to the critic(s)
Okay, “critics” is a pretty general word, but to those jackasses who read my last post and think I’m a racist because of it, I strongly encourage you to:
1.) Buy another half a brain.
2.) Reread the post and take it for what it is, point blank.
3.) Dredge your mind out of the bleeding heart liberal gutter that it’s in.
4.) Confront me directly through email or speech about your opinion.
5.) Stop believing movies that claim to be documentaries until you see them on the Discovery Channel or National Geographic.
6.) Shut the hell up, and that’s putting it lightly.
I wrote that post to raise issues that I believe are on every American’s mind. I know it sure as hell is on my mind. If you’re too spineless to bring it up to me as an adult with an opinion who respects other’s opinions, you can take a long walk off a short pier. Your kind makes me sick. You live in your world with cable TV and McDonald’s drive thrus and electric lawnmowers, and you think you know what the f**k racism is and who believes in what. Until you’ve seen the countries I’ve seen, and been to the place I’ve been, and watched the atrocities I’ve watched, you can feel perfectly free to shut your stinking pie hole, sit back in you lay-Z-boy chair, and let someone else protect your freedom indirectly.
“You” know who I’m talking about.
To everyone else: thanks for reading, thanks for understanding, and thanks for sticking with your convictions based on fact and not publicity or movie reviews. Thanks for knowing that someone else’s opinion may not agree with your own, but seeing their perspective either way. Thanks for being an adult about things.
To “you”: Remember that I’ve got the keys to the city. Me. Piss me off and you will never, ever, step foot in an American Embassy again much less see another Marine in your meager existence. Don’t piss into the wind, don’t shit where you sleep, and don’t incorrectly judge a Marine without good damn reason. You are a heartbeat away from being cut off from everything you desire. I will step on toes and bruise egos to make this happen.
Read this and believe it. Grow the f**k up. Enough said.

I would like to take the time to say thanks again to Jayme and all of the service man and women who allow me my freedoms, opinions, and everything else that is good about this world. And it gives all of the critics out there the right to be assholes. Here is a quote for the good guys to remember.

Please don’t let the critics out there get you down unfortunate as it is sometimes they are the only ones who speak up. I for one would like to find some of these stupid, ignorant, SOBs in a dark alley with a big bat. This though would make me no better than them, and do no good anyways sense can’t be beaten in them. I for one say keep up the good work, the articles are good ones and you have the freedom to write what you want you have earned, they have abused it. Now just is case the stupid people out there didn’t understand any of this either here is what I think represents them best.

Now to the “Chicken” out there careful what can of worms you open you never know who you will piss off. People who badger someone for sharing his or her opinion are lowest of life forms in my opinion. Why can people not understand what should be a simple concept, it is just and opinion every on has one and they are all different, just read the article and move on, with what seems like a pretty meaningless existence. Enough Said!

There is no sense responding to the ignorant who flatly refuse to consider another position; such ignorance need not be entertained. You have the courage to take a position - Say what you need say; it is powerful enough to stand unrecanted. You will spend a lifetime of frustration speaking to a closed mind. However, keep an ear to the ground to understand the ripple effect of your input, you may discover an eddy that leads to a cavern of self-discovery. Things may reflect to degrees not intended; perhaps there are boxes with sides you haven’t seen. Feedback reinvents reality by proposing doubt or reinforcement of our views. Keep in mind we only ever have the grace of but one view, our own. We need to be challenged to inflame the passion within. Recognize and reconcile our own faults; for this is not weakness, this is strength. Keep your ears open, but your voice strong. You cannot force open your mind question the autrocities of life only to censor the underbelly you do not wish to see. How else can you facilitate healing if you ignore a festering wound because it’s malignent? Argue the cause and not “Ad Hominum” and your credibility will never stumble. Those who do not deserve our compassion are the ones that need it most. Continue your work - the courage to stimulate thought, passion, and discussion is not to be underestimated. If only we all could be so committed in our involvement. Carpe Diem!
